C-Span and Nancy Pelosi

Friday, June 30th, 2006

Nancy Pelosi brings the Capitol to you and allows you to see what SHOULD be on the news but because it is not in a soundbyte will never be on the news.

The New York Times repeats W regarding bank snooping but they got spanked.

Friday, June 30th, 2006

The President told the world about this program on several occasions but when the newspapers did it THEY saw the wrath of W.

This is just pathetic how the First Amendment is attacked by a President who doesn’t know what the Constitution means nor what it stands for.  It is too easy for people who are not paying attention to be outraged over the NY Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal article, however the rage would be directed in the wrong direction.  So many people think the NYT was doing this to be anti-American when in fact they were repeating the President.  They were also DOING THEIR JOB to inform Americans as to what their government is doing…which is the press’ responsibility.  Well it was until 9/11 when it became the job of the press to hear doctrine…spell check…and spew it to the world without regard to its truth.  I wish my dog listened that well!!

There is no global warming There is no global warming

Uh Then way is the Pentagon coming up with this forecast?

But there is no global warming!

Then why did Lloyd’s of London say we face extinction because of global warming?  See page 2 of the Rolling Stone article.

Wal Mart- no smiley face for them

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

– Wal-Mart is the largest reatiler in the world. (source (
– Wal-Mart is #1 on the Fortune 500 list. (source (
– Wal-Mart employees earn, on average, 25% less than employees at competing grocery stores and discount stores. (source (
– Wal-Mart gives more money to Republican politicians in the United States than any other company. (source (

Founder Sam Walton once argued that his company should be exempt from the minimum wage. (Palast, 121). Wal-Mart has also been known to use union supression tactics on its employees in order to stop a union from entering it’s stores. Some critics also claim that the store that closed in Jonquiere, Quebec was because of a successful union certification, although Wal-Mart claimed that the store was not making any money.

According to striking workers at a Chinese factory that supplies Wal-Mart, “half of their wages were deducted to pay for their housing expenses while living in housing facilities.”

Walton family worth $75 billion personally but YOU get to pay for much of their employee’s insurance and food stamps

They have no shame.

Stay the course…no matter how stupid it is!!

Saturday, June 24th, 2006

So there is Iran in the 40s seen as a possible ally of the Nazis so the US and UK invade Iran and put in the dictator’s son as the “new and improved” dictator which would be pro US-UK.
So he lasts until the 70s when he is overthrown after his brutal dictatorship supported by the USA (so no wonder they hate us really).
So then the Iranian leaders come to the US and say something in 2003 that may be a peace offering and Bush says no.  So now it looks like we may have a war with Iran at any time and we at least had a chance to have peace but said no in 2003.
Way to go W…stay the course!!!

Obscenities¦WWJD¦and outrage for 6/21/06

Obscenities¦WWJD¦and outrage
The bill to raise the minimum wage has been killed WWJD??
50 million people do not have health insurance some without insurance actually voted for Republicans who killed the idea of national insurance back in the Clinton years.which the rest of the world has.  We are the only developed country without it and we are seen as barbarians because not everyone in the USA can afford insurance/health care.  Of course our health costs are rising faster than any other country on earth. The opponents say this is a redistribution of wealth or Socialistic but what do you call it when super rich people get $500 billion in estate tax breaks?  How is that not socialistic income redistribution from the poor (who will miss out on those services) to the rich (who will be just fine EVEN WITH THOSE TAXES ENFORCED)  And those people were allowed to vote!!!!!!!!  Why is it that the rich are protected and the poor are not?  WWJD?
People who earn a little more than minimum wage still pay taxes when in fact there is a plan to have only people that earn over $200,000 to pay taxes and that tax would bring in far more money than taxing the people that are have nots.  Those people who make minimum wage voted for the people who wanted to kill the plan for only the super rich to pay taxes.  Those people are allowed to vote!!!!!!!  WWJD?
President Bush was elected on a platform of security and safety yet years after 9/11 the border is wide open, the ports are not correctly watched, the war in Afghanistan has the Taliban making huge advances and the war in Iraq is creating more Al Quaida. Those people voted for the leader of the free world when he knew NOTHING of the world!!!!!!!
The most obvious expression of Bush’s choice of ignorance is that, at the age of 57, he knows nothing about policy or history. After years of working as his dad’s spear-chucker in Washington, he didn’t understand the difference between Medicare and Medicaid, the second- and third-largest federal programs. Well into his plans for invading Iraq, Bush still couldn’t get down the distinction between Sunni and Shiite Muslims, the key religious divide in a country he was about to occupy. Though he sometimes carries books for show, he either does not read them or doesn’t absorb anything from them. Bush’s ignorance is so transparent that many of his intimates do not bother to dispute it even in public.
Even with OUR TROOPS in Iraq they don’t know why they are there  Zogby poll is linked here.  And they are sent into harms way with bad information as to why they are there.
Here is a quote of what the Zogby poll found proving the vast majority of our troops don’t know why the US is in Iraq..  While 85% said the U.S. mission is mainly to retaliate for Saddam’s role in the 9-11 attacks
Welcome to reality #1
Welcome to reality #2- scroll to the middle of the page
Welcome to reality #3
So our troops are dying because of reasons they do not understand.  How awful!!!!!!!
And now some obsceneties
The CEO of Halliburton has made $78 million since the start of the war. Obscene!!!!!!
Our troops were sent to Iraq and Iran without proper shielding and had to root in junkyards to protect their humvees while on patrol..that is obscene!!!!!
While researchers find amazing uses for stem cells Bush and his people are still against the serious researching of stem cells.  What would you say if you were Christopher Reeve or some other quadriplegic that could apparently regain some feeling simply with an injection of stem cells?  How can this not be seen as obscene!!!!!
The recent estate tax repeal removed taxation on people who receive an inheritance of over $7 million..only people seeing 7+ million dollars would be taxed and that tax is now repealed.  The US which is 9 trillion dollars in debt will miss out on $500 billion in tax revenue to reduce the deficit to be paid to foreign banks.  Bill Gates the biggest of the huge income people says Bush’s plan is a bad one.  So that is obscene as well considering how many people can see health care or food with $500 billion.  WWJD?
And where is the church in supporting the poor in the repealing of their services and the protecting of the rich?  The bible mentions helping the poor more than anything else yet we have a huge number of people without insurance and without so many things.  And at the same time the numbers of super rich people is on the risePoverty up in Washington state. Poverty is up for blacks And the bar for poverty is obscenely low
I believe the lack of comment by the church(es) in the poverty numbers is most obscene of all as they are supposed to be the protector of the poor.
How is this stuff not obscene????
Why are people not rioting in the streets because of the stuff going on now???

What does Fox News think of its viewers?

Sunday, June 18th, 2006

#1-  You will have to click to allow an Active X component to run this video which is safe to do on this page.  Other pages can have nasty Active X components but this one is just to launch the video player.

Cal Thomas (in his unnaturally colored brown hair) is the guy to watch here.  He is a regular talking head on Fox.  His analysis of Fox viewers would really offend anyone who seriously watches Fox for news.  He doesn’t seem to be kidding nor does he laugh about it as he really takes a hard slam at Fox and its viewers.  I guess this is what Fox thinks of its viewers.

FOX News doesn’t get small things right either

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

If FOX really believes this I wonder how they operate in the real world…which makes me believe they don’t.
So when someone pees on your leg and tells you it is raining (thanks Judge Judy) do the people getting rained on know it is not rain?
If the Press Secretary and other staffers are in flak jackets and the President is not….that may show quite graphically the reality of who is important in the mix.

Welcome to America!

Friday, June 9th, 2006

Between 1980 and 2004 America’s GDP went up by almost two-thirds. But instead of making everyone better off, it has made only a part of the country wealthier, as another part slips ever more into the black hole of the working poor. There are now 37 million Americans living in poverty, and at 12.7 percent of the population, it is the highest percentage in the developed world.

Jon Stewart and Bill Bennett discuss gay marriage and Bill Bennett loses
Jon Stewart speaks to Peabody Award journalists
STEWART ON NET ASSETS That was Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart cutting up while emceeing yesterday’s Peabody Awards for broadcasting excellence at the Waldorf-Astoria. “This afternoon’s program is sponsored by your Internet and phone records,” Stewart told the star-studded crowd. “Isn’t that interesting — your Internet and phone records, because ‘blah blah blah, 9-11.'” In case anyone missed his point, Stewart also quipped: “Thomas Jefferson once said: ‘Of course the people don’t want war. But the people can be brought to the bidding of their leader. All you have to do is tell them they’re being attacked and denounce the pacifists for somehow a lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.’ I think that was Jefferson. Oh wait. That was Hermann Goering. Shoot.”

Jack Cafferty at CNN looks at the lack of checks and balance
John McCain hopes that some “work” gets done as the Gay Marriage Bill is addressed by the Senate
““It is the leader’s decision as to what the agenda should be,” said Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, who opposes the amendment. “I just hope we get to the defense authorization bill as soon as possible.”

It appears that a check and balance may be added to the mix in Washington DC but hopefully not too much!!
I don’t think this guy has heard the truth from all of his relatives…which is a bigger problem than the problem he is addressing here
