Glenn Beck- what is he saying here?

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

This is a quote from Glenn Beck from  What is he saying about Conservsatives?

Glenn Beck: ‘I Don’t Hate Muslims!’
Denies charges by Arab activist groups
Responding to recent calls for his ouster as a contributor to ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” by several Arab activist groups for what they termed “blatant anti-Arab and anti-Muslim bias,” Premiere Radio Networks talk host and CNN Headline News Prime personality Glenn Beck fired back at his accusers, saying, “I want to make it very clear, I don’t hate Muslims. In fact, I don’t know anybody who hates Muslims — and I know a lot of conservatives.”

After airing several video clips from previous editions of his nightly CNN program that clearly supported the talk host’s claim of fairness, Beck told viewers he’s been consistent and anything but biased on both his radio and television shows.

“I offer you a challenge,” said Beck to his critics. “When you see the big rally happening, with the Muslims marching in the streets saying, ‘They’re hijacking my religion,’ you call me. I’ll give you my private phone number. We will set up satellite trucks to cover it.”

So I received this letter with a quote from Winston Churchill

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007
I was sent this email today and I of course just HAD to respond to it!!!

Unbelievable, the speech below was written
one hundred and eight years ago and is as valid today as when it was written.

This is a short speech from Winston Churchill, delivered by him in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist.  It would probably match the current views of many of us today. Expressed, however, in the wonderful Churchillian turn of phrase and his use of the English language, of which he was a past master,  provides us with a delightful prose that is as close to the truth as one can get.
Sir Winston Churchill was, without doubt, one of the greatest men of the late 19th and 20th centuries. He was a brave young soldier, a brilliant journalist, an extraordinary politician and statesman, a great war leader and Prime Minister, to whom the Western world must be forever in debt.
Reading his essays shows that the man was a prophet in his own time.
When he died on the 24th. of January 1965, at the grand old age of 90, after a lifetime of service to his country, Churchill was accorded a State funeral that equalled the burial ceremony of  kings…
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism (Islam) lays on its votaries!  Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.  The effects are apparent in many countries –  Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property which exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism which deprives life of its grace and refinement, as well as, its dignity and sanctity.
The fact that in Mohammedan law, every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – Either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.  Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion  paralyses the social development of those who follow it.  No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.  Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa,  raising fearless warriors at every step!  And, were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science,  the science against which Islam had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome
Sir Winston Churchill; (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50)
Churchhill saw it coming 108 years ago…!

The problem is Fundamentalism regardless the religious leaning.  Why do we not hear more about George W Bush’s Book of Revelations and End Times beliefs?  Why did we not hear about Ronald Reagan’s Book of Revelations beliefs and End of Times beliefs?  Bush truly believes he is the man that will bring about Armageddon and then the return of Jesus H. Christ and the Rapture.  Bush says he talks to God and God told him to invade Iraq and Afghanistan.    So who should the world fear more…the leader of the most powerful nation on Earth that has the largest military ever assembled and whose nation gives freedoms that are evaporating and who speaks to an invisible friend (I had an invisible friend for a week when I was 5 how about you?) or a group of people with a car bomb?  For many solid reasons George W Bush should be the most feared man on earth.  The reason the Muslims hate us now is because after Saddam invaded Kuwait, Al Quaida offered to be a special forces protector of Saudi Arabia.  Saudi Arabia said no to Al Quaida and went with having the US be the Saudi protector…duh!!! Al Quaida saw this as a huge insult from their Islamic brothers to allow these Westerners to be in the area of the most sacred Muslim holy cities.  So Al Quaida got mad at Saudi Arabia and even madder at the US.  That started the big ball rolling against us as far as terrorism.  Prior to that during Reagan’s time we of course funded the Taliban and brought their military leaders to the USA to train them…then they went back to Afghanistan and beat the Russians with our help, arms and funds.  SO actually it is no wonder they are so good…WE TRAINED THEM!!!  If they were pushovers what would that say about our training hahahah.  So for them to be tough bastards is a good mark for us in a way hahahah.  The Taliban were Religious Freedom Fighters back then and now they are a scourge.  We are such opportunists of the moment that we do that depite what the future may hold.  Same thing for building Saddam into the dictator he was and then we executed him.  Same thing in many nations including Iran.
Actually the last line of Churchill’s quote is completely wrong.  Yes, Fundamentalist Islamists are anti scientific growth but what about the Religious Right that is anti Stem Cell, pro war and actually fighting against one vaccine that could save millions and millions of women.
The Religious Right in America is more dangerous to me because they are stopping scientific progress that could save me from disease in my future.
Please take a look at a couple of great videos show why we are where we are today
Bill Moyers is simply one of the best journalists is Amerca

When the CIA gets the wrong guy

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Specifically how Conservatism and Religion will happily kill people

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

“Religious” Conservatives are actually trying to stop a vaccine that will save the lives of thousands of women every year.  When women get vaccinated  they do not get Cervical Cancer due to the extremely common HPV virus.  The vaccine has an almost 100% success rate.  10,000 women get this cancer annually and 3700 die from it annually.  Many “Religious” groups are pushing for teenage girls to NOT GET VACCINATED and possibly die later in life as a result of the now preventable Cervical Cancer due to HPV.
Aren’t many of these people pro war and pro life at the same time?
Full story is here
[…]But beyond that, one does not need to go searching for isolated British Muslim doctors in order to find examples of the lives of children being endangered due to the religious beliefs of adults. Merck, among other pharmaceutical companies, developed a highly effective vaccine against the human papilloma virus (HPV) — by far the leading cause of cervical cancer in women — but an entire American political movement called “social conservatism” has been desperately trying to prevent its widespread approval — or at least persuade parents not to have their daughters vaccinated — because HPV is a sexually transmitted disease and they therefore believe that a vaccine will be seen as an endorsement of premarital sex.. The Iraqis like the Democrats more than they like the Republicans

Monday, January 29th, 2007

Story is here from the LA Times.

They have to see people from both sides, because they are both taking part in the administration of the country,” Adeeb said. “Whoever is a decision-maker in America, we have to have relations with.”

Many pointed out advantages to the Democrats’ increased sway over Iraq policy. Government officials said they had generally found the Democratic position on handing over security to Iraqi forces sooner rather than later closer to theirs. Almost all agree on Democratic Party initiatives, squashed when Republicans controlled Congress, to prevent the building of permanent U.S. bases here. They note news reports of Democrats acknowledging the suffering of the Iraqi population.

“I see that the Democratic ideas are more related to reality,” said Ammar Tuma, a lawmaker who serves in Maliki’s ruling Shiite coalition. “They talk about the real problems that the Iraqis are facing every day.”

To date, government officials said, they’ve also found Democratic visitors such as Pelosi, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York and Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois less parochial, more culturally sensitive and more willing to listen to Iraqi concerns than Republicans.

“Before, Bush used to order Iraqi officials to do this and that,” said one member of Maliki’s Islamic Dawa Party, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “The Republicans were dictating the political process in Iraq. With the Democrats in control of Congress, the Republicans are now less influential than before. It helps us in a sense to breathe a bit more and to have more freedom.”

Many of the Shiites around Maliki still harbor bitterness about the Bush administration’s push to remove then-interim Prime Minister Ibrahim Jafari from his post last year. They considered the pressure inappropriate interference in Iraq’s domestic affairs. They were also angered by recent remarks by Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice questioning whether Maliki was up to the job of leading Iraq.

The Republican Party’s election drubbing not only elevated Democrats, but also emboldened Maliki, who has begun criticizing the American president almost as much as Bush’s deputies criticized him.

“I understand and realize that inside the American administration there is some kind of a crisis situation, especially after the results of the last election,” he told reporters this month.

“It’s more balanced now,” said the Dawa Party member who asked not to be named. “What we’re seeing is Mr. Maliki criticizing Bush. You didn’t have that before.”

After weeks of icy relations and criticism, including a televised interview in which Bush faulted Maliki for the way the execution of ousted dictator Saddam Hussein was handled, the two men spoke Saturday by phone. It was the first time they had talked since Bush outlined his new Iraq policy. It was also the day Pelosi and a delegation of lawmakers wrapped up meetings with Iraqi officials.

“Now it’s different because [the Democrats] have some decision-making power,” said Farooq Abdullah, a Maliki advisor. “Before, we were meeting mostly with the Republicans because they were the ones in power. Now we’re meeting with both of them.”

Iraq used poison gas against its own people…how awful!!!!!

Monday, January 29th, 2007

But where did they get it from???  Three guesses anjd the first two don’t count.  More details here

On 3/21/86, the US Department of Commerce issued a license to the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) to export aspergillus fungal cultures, used in the production of aflatoxin, to Iraq. ATCC officials said the cultures were not delivered.[1]

According to a 1991 US military intelligence memo, Japanese scientists had been assisting scientists from Basra University since 1984 in researching mycotoxins produced by soil fungi, including aflatoxin. The Japanese-Iraqi team used three species of aspergillus mold to produce aflatoxin.[3]

In 1985, the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) sent a shipment of West Nile Fever virus to an Iraqi researcher.[4]

Between 1985-89, US firms exported Bacillus anthracis (anthrax), Clostridium botulinum, Histoplasma capsulatam, Brucella melitensis, Clostridium perfringens (gas gangrene), Clostridium tetani (tentanus), Escherichia coli, and “dozens of other pathogenic biological agents,” to Iraq.[9]

Between 1985-89, the US firm ATCC sent Iraq up to 70 shipments including 21 strains of anthrax, 15 Class III pathogens, E. coli, Salmonella cholerasuis, Clostridium botulinum, Brucella meliteusis, and Clostidium perfringens. [This may include shipments already listed to the Agriculture and Water Resource Department, Atomic Energy Commission, and College of Medicine].[10]

Between 1984-89, the CDC sent Iraq more than 80 agents, including botulinum toxoid, Yersinia pestis, dengue virus, and West Nile antigen and antibody. [This may include shipments already listed to Basra University, and Salman Pak.][11]

In 1988, Iraq unsuccessfully attempted to obtain biological agents from the UK military research center at Porton Down.[12]

In 2/87, Germany’s Sigma Chemie supplied seven ounces of trichothecene mycotoxin, including T-2 toxin and HT-2 toxin, to the German firm Plato Kuehn, which indicated that the material would be exported to Iraq.[13]

In 1987, Josef Kuhn of Germany delivered 100 milligrams of trichothecene mycotoxin T-2 to Iraq.[14]

According to US Senator John McCain, Iraq obtained tularemia virus from the United States. The US Department of State said it had found no evidence to support Senator McCain’s allegation.[15]

Iraq obtained “deadly pathogens” from the Pasteur Institute in Paris.[16]

Representative John Conyers is really good!

Monday, January 29th, 2007

The Bush Administration has given us:

* Voter Intimidation and suppression and worse costing us two presidential elections.
* The Downing Street Minutes, manipulation of intelligence, and going to war under false pretenses.
* Outing a CIA agent as an act of political revenge.
* Warrantless wiretapping, outside of the law and the Constitution, and creating an unauthorized data base of millions of innocent Americans.
* Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, waterboarding, and other forms of illegal torture.
* Racial Profiling, Rendition, and Secret Prisons.
* An imperial president who takes it upon himself to issue signing statements which change the law to take away our rights.
* Intimidating the press, and firing government whistleblowers.
* Operating a government in secret, above the law and outside of court or congressional scrutiny.
* More than 3,000 Americans dead, scores of thousands of Iraqi’s dead, hundreds of thousands wounded, and a cost of more than one trillion dollars.
* And now a massive escalation, disguised as a “surge,” with no end in sight.

Today, and every day, we need to let this President know and let the Congress know that we have had enough.

How easy would it be to be called an enemy combatant?

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

Joe Lieberman just did it during this Congressional meeting.  If Lieberman was appointed by the President as being able to deem people as enemy combatants he could send a lot of people to prison right now and those people would have no recourse other than to sit in jail until he said they could go….which could be never.  Story is here

And now…a Faux News memo

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

MEMO- FROM:  John Moody VP Fox News
TO: All department heads
RE: Programming shift

Date:  1/28/07

As we see the decline of the popularity of the Republican Party which directly affects our viewership, we will be going to an “All Cheerleader All The Time” format.  I see independently a number of producers HAVE already gone to a Mostly Cheerleader format for the RIGHT reasons but I believe this needs to be brought to the next level and we should, as one organized unit, go forward with this formatic shift.

We will monitor YouTube, LiveVideo, RedneckTube, WhiteTrashTube, Ebaumsworld, VixenVideo, RedStateLovin, GoogleVideo, YahooVideo, MarryMySister and other video sites in order to cull video for our segments.  This will not only reduce production costs but provide us the programming we need to fill the time that would normally be filled with Iraq and the Libby Trial.  Americans are tired of Iraq and the Libby trial provides a simple diversion for those that are less than positive towards our Administration which of course will result in nothing substantive.  If ANY news from the Libby trial comes down we will IMMEDIATELY go to a correspondent ANYWHERE carrying the latest in the Cheerleader scandal du jour.
MASTER CONTROL- Please produce about 2 hours of B Roll of teenage girls fighting in warm weather climates for when we go to these live reports.

ENG TRUCKS- Always be on the lookout for Cheerleaders.  If you wish to have lunch near High Schools we will reimburse lunch and time costs as long as you bring home the B Roll.  Warm weather climate ENG trucks are HIGHLY encouraged to take advantage of the warmer temperatures we have seen lately which are due to the recent curse from God.
The All Cheerleader format will bring men back to the channel.  Let’s also couple this shift with more highlights from “24” which has been very popular with those who see things as we do.
Coupled with the All Cheerleader Format we may wish to highlight this in advertising meetings with Viagra and other male enhancement products showing the synergy of our programming and demand for their life engorging products.
I think you will agree that the growth provided with this shift will prove wise as we see our revenue grow as our viewership will grow in their seats.
 John Moody
Newscorp Inc.
VP FOX News Division
PS- As I was watching the Glorious Exalted Thrilling and highly Erect President of the United States give his State of the Union Speech I noticed the cell phone voting tally only showing an 85% approval rate which stood the whole night.  Next time we need to vary and increase that support on TV.  As opposed to varying support from 84% to 85% let’s vary it between 99.3% and 99.7% support for what President George W. Bush is saying.  At the end of the night we will have him finish with 99.8%.  Don’t make it too obvious.  We will also look for a Democrat who wishes to self-immolate himself as a result of choosing to be with the Liberal party and seeing the mortal error in his ways.  Please have B Roll for this which will consist of Muslims saying they will see 72 virgins in Heaven after dying for Allah, but when they arrive the virgins are all clones of Bea Arthur.  We will run the immolation video live and pull it after several seconds saying after the majority of the news values has diminished, that we are a TV Network of values and choose not to run such horrifying video.

Bush gave a Eulogy for America in the State of the Union Speech

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

In Bush’s State of the Union speech on Jan. 23, there could be heard a requiem for the Republic.

“The evil that inspired and rejoiced in 9/11 is still at work in the world. And so long as that’s the case, America is still a nation at war,” Bush told Congress.

But that “evil” will always be “at work in the world,” so America will always be “a nation at war” and thus, under Bush’s theories of unlimited Commander-in-Chief powers, the American Republic will be banished permanently.  Story is here

Scientific findings and study or is it a CURSE FROM GOD???

Saturday, January 27th, 2007
CNN VIDEO:  Scientific findings and study or is it a CURSE FROM GOD???

So Global Warming has every sane person see that the big tote board on the wall has the world warming up.  Scientists and Al Gore agree that humans have something to do with the problem.  This other guy in Washington state believes Global Warming is a CURSE FROM GOD.
I think I will stick with the scientists and their thoughts on the matter.  Curse from God…how can the reporters keep a straight face!

So the schools had to say no to free Inconvenient Truth DVDs because this guy thinks we are CURSED BY GOD.

How do we let these people gain actual status in our national debate on anything?  They should be laughed out of the room and off of TV.  They want to educate the next generation and think that the Bible is a scientific textbook while China/India and other nations pass us up by studying HARD science and they laugh at us with our fight with the Evangelical irrationals.  I think it is us “normals” as opposed to “the nuts” as Karl Rove called them that are to blame.  They sure have a right to say what they wish but it is our job to debunk them at every turn.  Otherwise we wind up with a Theocratic based government that has an educational system that teaches our kids things that have nothing to do with reality.  Which is where we are heading towards fast.  Where does the First Amendment stand when it comes to people who say things to the detriment of others or spread lies and say they are truths?

One way to deal with these people is to deal with them like this in the media.

Richard Dawkins is incredible when it comes to these matters and knows his topic well when he owns these people.

It all comes down to science that has been explained in a rational way through time and discovery and is simply irrefutable…as opposed to what the other side brings to the debate.

Because the things they are trying to sell are just insane and hurt our future.

Hurt our future video 1.

Hurt our future video 2 shows the pro-life pro-war people and their spawn.
Fortunately this Jesus Camp has been disinfected by being exposed to light and is no longer open for business.  So that is one victory.

Vice President Cheney and his screwed up family is his fault

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Vice President Cheney’s daughter is going to have a baby with her partner.  The Republican stance has been vocally if not violently anti gay ANYTHING.  This poses a real quandary for Vice President Cheney in that one of the main reasons he and his President partner were elected was their stance AGAINST gays.  Actually many people voted for Bush/Cheney because they were anti gay anything.  However Cheney’s daughter is gay.  So what does he do?
He was interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN.  Because the gay topic is a political topic that Cheney benefited from directly Wolf asked about his gay daughter and partner’s baby and the response to such a relationship gathers from “Christian” leaders.
See the sickening video here

So which is it, either Cheney is the worst father on earth or he is a political whore.  This is your Vice President in action showing his love for his daughter by dodging the topic.  Their family must be complete lunatics.

Here is one view from a “Christian” singer.  Note the handholding and the words that show the never ending self loathing by someone afflicted with something the he himself hates and approves the hating of by a “super being”

We are Canada’s Mexicans

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

Fortunately we have our first chance to fix the sorry–more like non-existent–healthcare system since 1993, when the Clintons botched things up with a convoluted scheme designed to protect insurance industry profits. Democrats won control of Congress with two promises: getting us out of Iraq and fixing healthcare. A USA Today/ABC News poll conducted two weeks before the midterm elections found 80 percent dissatisfied (60 percent highly dissatisfied) with the staggering cost of healthcare.

The unbridled greed of corporatized healthcare is breathtaking. United HealthGroup, currently listed as #37 on the Fortune 500, earned $3.3 billion in net profits in 2006–up 28 percent from the year before. Wellpoint made a whopping $2.5 billion, a 157 percent increase. When is the last time you got a 28 percent raise? 157 percent? It’s blood money, pure and simple. How much profit is generated by the death of an uninsured or undertreated American?

The Iraq War is a huge con job in order to move money

10 reasons for impeachment NOW! Here is letter #2 to Washington DC

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

This will be my next letter to my elected representatives in Washington.  I am sending this letter to 10 elected Representatives in Washington DC.  I will send it to my House Representative and a few other influential House leaders and I will send this to my 2 US Senators plus several other influential Senators.  I hope you join me in writing our elected officials to prompt them to teach these lawbreakers a lesson, thereby teaching future Presidents and elected officials a lesson of how not to act.

President George W. Bush has damaged the nation and the world in many ways.  His lack of truth when conveying reasons for the Iraq War and other policy issues represent one of the worst affronts to the concept of American Democracy there has ever been.  If we do not impeach George W Bush and his cabinet the next President could remove many more rights and cause more harm than even this one has.  The world is paying for the lies that have been told to us by George W Bush and it is time to show the world and future leaders that we do NOT have a King, but rather an elected leader that follows the wishes of The People.  This one has not and he has acted contrary to our best interests in many ways.  Below is a short list of reasons George W. Bush should be impeached NOW.

I support the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney for the following reasons:
1. Violating the United Nations Charter by launching an illegal “War of Aggression” against Iraq without cause, using fraud to sell the war to Congress and the public, and misusing government funds to begin bombing without Congressional authorization.
2. Violating U.S. and international law by authorizing the torture of thousands of captives, resulting in dozens of deaths, and keeping prisoners hidden from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
3. Violating the Constitution by arbitrarily detaining Americans, legal residents, and non-Americans, without due process, without charge, and without access to counsel.
4. Violating the Geneva Conventions by targeting civilians, journalists, hospitals, and ambulances, and using illegal weapons, including white phosphorous, depleted uranium, and a new type of napalm.
5. Violating U.S. law and the Constitution through widespread wiretapping of the phone calls and emails of Americans without a warrant.
6. Violating the Constitution by using “signing statements” to defy hundreds of laws passed by Congress.
7. Violating U.S. and state law by obstructing honest elections in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006.
8. Violating U.S. law by using paid propaganda and disinformation, selectively and misleadingly leaking classified information, and exposing the identity of a covert CIA operative working on sensitive WMD proliferation for political retribution.
9. Subverting the Constitution and abusing Presidential power by asserting a “Unitary Executive Theory” giving unlimited powers to the President, by obstructing efforts by Congress and the Courts to review and restrict Presidential actions, and by promoting and signing legislation negating the Bill of Rights and the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
10. Gross negligence in failing to assist New Orleans residents after Hurricane Katrina, in ignoring urgent warnings of an Al Qaeda attack prior to Sept. 11, 2001, and in increasing air pollution causing global warming.

This is a follow-up to the KSFO/Spocko controversy

Sunday, January 21st, 2007

This is a follow-up to the KSFO/Spocko controversy that we all lived in the past couple of weeks.  Here is an mp3 file that features Jay Marvin and Jamison Fosier from MediaMatters.  Also part of the file at about half way into the file is John Ebb who is the Godfather to Melanie Morgan’s child.  He has known her for quite a while and he reports that her stance on the radio show is all a fraud.  Plus, the KSFO clip has them discuss the plastic surgery that Nancy Pelosi has had but they failed to mention the plastic surgery that Melanie Morgan has had, which is reported by as substantive.

Your Attorney General says you do not have the right of Habeas Corpus and this mean YOU

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

This is probably the most ugly thing said or done against the Constitution by someone that is supposed to support it.  Habeas Corpus is the forcing of the government to have an impartial judge hear your charges as opposed to giving government the right of locking away people in a gulag.  This has been a part of common law since 1215 and this past year the Bush Administration killed it.  This is a horrible disgrace.  Video is here
