The Rand Corporation looked at many benchmarks of healthcare and found the VA was very very good with the highest satisfaction rate of any health care provider with costs going down.   Story is here
This isn’t a healthcare crisis, this is a state of emergency. 14,000 Americans are losing their coverage every day, and 17,000 are forced into bankruptcy every week because they can’t pay their medical bills. Story is here
Kristol admits the US Government can provide the best insurance available anywhere. He also admits the present Health Care delivery system is worse than the Government provided plan. Bill Kristol has just been hung with his own words. WHY IS IT THAT A COMEDIAN IS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE NATION THAT CAN DO THIS? This highlights not only the lies of Kristol and those opposing One Payer Health Care but it also highlights the weakness of the Press which for some reason cannot do something like this in an official forum. Story and video are here
The Birther movement receives a wooden stake to its heart as far as the Government is concerned. If they continue they legally show they are just driven by things unworldly.

HONOLULU – State officials inon Monday said they have once again checked and confirmed that President was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen, and therefore meets a key constitutional requirement for being president.
They hoped to stem a recent surge in the number of inquiries about Obama’s birthplace.
“I … have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Story is hereverifying was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen,” Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. “I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago.”Â
Elected representatives running from cameras when asked a simple question. That really is contrary to the idea of a Republic in which we Democratically elect leaders with common sense to look at new issues and size them up for their constituents. They are elected for thier ability to weigh new ideas and issues and intelligently decide what would be best for their constituents but these leaders seem to be skittish to talk about this issue for some reason. They are using this issue which lacks substance for political gain and they KNOW it is untrue…but they still pander to those who espouse this as it works to the benefit of the elected representatives….who are running from these camera. Story is here
CWA President Larry Cohen told the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation the United States ranked at bottom of the world’s top industrialized nations in high-speed broadband access. He noted that the 2008 study by CWA’s Speed Matters initiative found the Internet speed in this country is so slow that at the current rate of improvement, it would take 100 years to match the world’s current speed leader, Japan.  Story is here
One of the big differences between the 1993 Hillarycare debate and our current conversation is that we’re hearing a lot more fact and lot less fiction about how other countries’ systems actually work.
Thank the Internet. Back in 1993, the “Harry and Louise” ads succeeded because most Americans didn’t have access to any other sources of information. Now, the whole world is at our fingertips. Anybody who really wants to know how health care is managed in Canada, or the UK, or Japan, or Australia can readily find someone with real experience in those systems who can tell their stories.
But progressive Americans living overseas aren’t waiting around any more for y’all to ask. Some of us are getting proactive about sending our stories home. All around the world, there are millions of American citizens who have first-hand experience with other countries’ health care systems. And Democrats Abroad, the world’s largest political gathering of expatriate Americans, is getting us organized to tell our stories.  Story is here
A big big list of myths about Health Care that are not true. Story is here
Wendell Potter can remember exactly when he took the first steps on his journey to becoming a whistleblower and turning against one of the most powerful industries in America.
It was July 2007 and Potter, a senior executive at giant US healthcare firm Cigna, was visiting relatives in the poverty-ridden mountain districts of northeast Tennessee. He saw an advert in a local paper for a touring free medical clinic at a fairground just across the state border in Wise County, Virginia.
Potter, who had worked at Cigna for 15 years, decided to check it out. What he saw appalled him. Hundreds of desperate people, most without any medical insurance, descended on the clinic from out of the hills. People queued in long lines to have the most basic medical procedures carried out free of charge. Some had driven more than 200 miles from Georgia. Many were treated in the open air. Potter took pictures of patients lying on trolleys on rain-soaked pavements.
For Potter it was a dreadful realisation that healthcare in America had failed millions of poor, sick people and that he, and the industry he worked for, did not care about the human cost of their relentless search for profits. “It was over-powering. It was just more than I could possibly have imagined could be happening in America,” he told the Observer
Potter resigned shortly afterwards. Last month he testified in Congress, becoming one of the few industry executives to admit that what its critics say is true: healthcare insurance firms push up costs, buy politicians and refuse to pay out when many patients actually get sick. In chilling words he told a Senate committee: “I worked as a senior executive at health insurance companies and I saw how they confuse their customers and dump the sick: all so they can satisfy their Wall Street investors.”
Potter’s claims are at the centre of the biggest political crisis of Barack Obama’s young presidency. Obama, faced with 47 million Americans without health insurance, has put reforming the system at the top of his agenda. If he succeeds, he will have pushed through one of the greatest changes to domestic policy of any president. If he fails, his presidency could be broken before it is even a year old. Last week, in a sign of how high the stakes are, he addressed the nation in a live TV news conference. It is the sort of event usually reserved for a moment of deep national crisis, such as a terrorist attack. But Obama wanted to talk about healthcare. “This is about every family, every business and every taxpayer who continues to shoulder the burden of a problem that Washington has failed to solve for decades,” he told the nation. Story is here
It’s truly stupefying that today, in the midst of the Obama era, that legions of Americans continue to find it so easy to rationalize and doggedly defend the Bush administration’s torture program.
As more details are revealed it’s clear that never before in human history has such a complex system of abduction, international rendition, and judicial and legislative manipulations been employed to advance and empower an extremely narrow yet far reaching political agenda.
Bush and Co. have turned American democracy on its head and redefined political criminality and neo-fascistic hubris while injecting their poison into the minds of untold millions of Americans via a compliant and self-serving media system. They have rendered Orwell’s horrific vision for the future of humanity in ‘1984’, quaint. But above all, what is most astonishing to me is how they have made my 86 year old Italian-Catholic, Jesus loving mother, embrace torturers and denounce Peace Makers.
The first response to the below as a whole is to ask if the person were to receive a list of lies would they blindly believe them all without researching them? Apparently the answer is yes in that these emails make the rounds and it seems none of the debunked lies are removed from the list and the reality of the situation is not applied to the list. So a list of lies is received…and forwarded to email friends without helping those friends see the truth. My list of lies will include
-The Queen of England has personally assassinated 27 Costa Ricans
-The XBox is merely a mind control device as Microsoft’s master plan of controlling humanity
-Clouds are ET’s way of poisoning us so when it rains never let a raindrop touch you.
The list of 3 lies above are essentially what we have below. Forward them!!!! It seems that is what is done with lies.
To forward the above list to friends would be detrimental to them so you would not forward that list. However that list above is basically the same as the list originally forwarded below and it has made the rounds without fixing. So the result is the people who received the list below are told things that are simply not true. Let’s fix the email below…and if you are interested in the truth you will forward to the people that received the original unedited email.
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
=How about a joke about WMD as our troops were dying in Iraq?
Would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?
=DVDs are formatted for world region. To format a player for a different region it is very easy. DVD players that do that are routinely sold in other parts of the world but not here in the US. Brown is known to be a man that does not enjoy movies so the gift was more for Brown’s family. remember a few things a previous President did and said that were pretty dumb.
If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
=If the Queen of England asks for a narcissistic and tacky gift what would you do? Yes, the Queen of England asked for an Ipod so Obama gave her one loaded with stuff she likes.
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?
=Bush holds the hand of the Saudi King and kisses him
The Saudi leaders have been bailing out George W Bush PERSONALLY for decades
Speaking of foreign leaders Bush hampered the investigation into Bin Laden
Bush’s 9/11 investigator had ties to Bin Laden
The first 9/11 investigator was really bad
More about Kissinger and Bin Laden
How come it took victims of 9/11 to point out Bush Appointee Kissinger was a Saudi/Bin Laden partner?
So to say bowing to the Saudi king is worse than this is to simply not see reality
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
=Sarah Palin thought Africa was a country….big deal
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?
=Your FORMER Vice President’s company sold nuclear technology to Iran. Did you object?
Don’t tell me someone’s IRS reports are worse than selling nuclear technology to the Iranian boogeyman as sold to us by BushCo
If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to â Cinco de Cuatro in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the fourth of May (Cuatro de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?
=Um…if you read the transcript of Michelle Obama from that day saying Cuatro de Mayo and you cannot see what happened then….oh my God…you either need a sense of humor or you need to stop taking the words of FOXNews and Limbaugh and shooting them directly into your “brain”. What is the name of the school in this news story????
If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word advice would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?
=Dan Quayle would have made a wonderful City Council member for a city like Indianapolis where he came from. But to be a heartbeat away from being the President was over his head from day 1. The proof being in what he has done since. Is he dead?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?
=Bush technically and realistically killed Habeas Corpus. Did you care? Are you a hypocrite for it not bothering you while you crow about freedoms and liberty? A tree is a real complaint? Get real!
If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
=The guy that arranged this was fired…it is called accountability
On the other hand Bush held loyalty higher than quality of work therefore many people who should have been fired were never fired.
OF course Michael Brown’s big resume entry that qualified him for FEMA….the governmental agency that in the time of big emergency the REST OF THE CABINET FOLLOWS THEIR ORDERS….was overseeing judging of horses.
Bush’s people were so out of touch that despite the warnings of a slow moving hurricane called Katrina the Administration did little to ready FEMA as one of the biggest hurricanes was moving across the Gulf of Mexico.
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
=This question was written by someone who has never seen any President speak on camera. Presidents appear on THE TV occasionally ya know! What do you think they do….they MEMORIZE a 30 minute address to Congress? 30 minutes of highly detailed facts and figures is always read off of a teleprompter. Welcome to the 20th Century hahah….that’s the last last century by the way. Bush’s teleprompter reading ability was so bad they had to spell PHONETICALLY to HELP HIM SAY THE WORDS!!!!! hahahaah
That was a trick question right?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
=The Midwestern floods were bad…Hurricane Katrina was overwhelmingly over the top bad…far worse than the Midwest floods. This question came from Rush Limbaugh who tried to make a racial thing “us and them” out of it.
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
=OK…think…..GM was bailed out to save millions of jobs…millions of retirees….millions of people employed in the parts and support of those cars sold by GM. You want the CEO of the failed company to remain? This is a trick question right??? Bail them out but change nothing or bail them out and get a new visionary? Um…trick question right? 42.
If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again 10 times within years, would you have approved?
=This is a trick question right?
The national debt in Jan. 2001 was 5.7 Trillion
The National debt in Jan 2009 was 10.7 trillion.
Was this a trick question?
As for the 10x debt? That statement does not even get a Google response. That statement was made up as this email is full of similar statements fully fabricated without attribution.
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plans holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
= 9/11 happened after the Bush Administration was warned by several different methods. 9/11 had a massive drop in stock prices and countless thousands of businesses were shuttered. It would be one thing if meetings were held and security was increased and the threat was responded to and they failed…but it was not taken seriously at all despite the warnings of the outgoing Administration and the intelligence community. So we were attacked on 9/11 and there was no attempt to avoid it despite warnings and our economy was sent into tatters. Besides the GM stock will be bought back once the car maker gets back on its feet as the Chrysler bailout ended with the US Government making a positive gain on that outlay of a few billion dollars.
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
=Bush took a huge number of vacations to cut brush in Texas.  Sorry but my idea of going on a quick weekend vacation of going to New York and seeing a Broadway play is a little more highbrow than going to cut brush on a ranch that grew nothing other than scrub trees. I would rather my President do highbrow things than lowbrow things as I enjoy having a smart President who is smarter than the rest of the populace as opposed to less.
And anyone who has seen anything knows the President ALWAYS goes with a massive entourage so that is a given…so to complain about it is lacking understanding of the logistics of the President.
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all this in 5 months — so you’ll have three years and seven months to come up with an answer.
=He is a Constitutional Professor…he went to a great school after “pulling himself up by his bootstraps”. He has helped others who are not millionaires but poverty stricken people much to the chagrin of his opponents. The world appreciates what he brings to the table and this was shown in the G2 meeting where leaders of the world would not shake Bush’s hand.
The world has had enough of Bush and his thought and his ilk.
So the original forwarded email contained half truths and lies. Do you approve?
Will you send this to the people that sent this to you originally?
Does this matter that people are not telling the truth?
It matters to me and I hope it matters to you too.
A basic rundown of the way FOX News and the right-wing talk show people carry things out.
They wish to dehumanize, virtually break,.  Along with him all of the dreams and hopes we had when we elected him. Remember, that dehumanization can only happen in our minds if we allow it. Of course, that is the whole point…to have that happen in the Freepers and Wingnut’s minds…they love it!
Full double bind requires several conditions to be met:
The victim of double bind receives contradictory injunctions or emotional messages on different levels of communication (for example, love is expressed by words, and hate or detachment by nonverbal behaviour; or a child is encouraged to speak freely, but criticised or silenced whenever he or she actually does so).
In the political world this is exemplified by rightist and leftist messages. On Fox News for example…leftist thought is SHAMED. Â People holding contrary views are publicly SHAMED, therefore, people who do not wish to be shamed, side with the propagandist.
No metacommunication is possible – for example, asking which of the two messages is valid or describing the communication as making no sense
Questioning is not allowed, or legitimate questioning is not allowed.  Contrary opinions are always shown as weak, and right wing opinions always shown as strong and pitiless—lack of empathy is  one of our strongest tools.
The victim cannot leave the communication field The attempt to monopolize the airwaves, the demise of the newspapers, is an attempt to permeate communication with the meta right wing message, so that noone in this country can leave the “field”.
Failing to fulfill the contradictory injunctions is punishedFailure to agree with the right wing point of view is punished, (loss of job, harassment, public scrutiny, loss of reputation, etc.)
This communication pattern is hypnotic and powerful. Â There are only three ways out.
- Â Keep quiet and pretend it is not happening…..denial. This will have long term emotional effects, increase in anxiety, despair, etc.
- Â Have a powerful other (as powerful in the media as the propaganda) that verifies that the pattern of dehumanization is happening. Â This will provide relief, but the propagandist can come back in another form, with another tactic, that is more subtle.
-  Deciding to fight back, and risk the consequences of  a real revolution.
Outline of what has been happening in trying to diminish Obama in the right-wing press.
The virtual lynching of black men has become a fine art in today’s media. It is no longer cool to do actual lynching…..much too messy and could get you put in jail. No…better to lynch a black man through the media. Here is how to do it.
- Â Select a black man who has become popular with the public. Â He should be handsome, attractive to women, and it is a bonus if he is attractive to white women. (see birth of a nation) Preferably, one who has become admired by white people and has made black people proud. Â This maximizes the effect of his eventual downfall and reinforces feelings of white supremacy when it happens….you know…the bigger they are…..the harder they fall.
- Begin a fringe rumor about him that persists and that can later be used to embarass him at an opportune moment. As a matter of fact, test out a number of rumors to see which one sticks…..and provokes the most negative response in the largest number of people.
- Treat him with disrespect, subtly at first, never resorting to name calling. Â Just create suspicion in the minds of people,—I mean…who is he anyway?
- Â Refer to his confidence as arrogance, his truthfulness as deceit, his kindness for weakness, his assertiveness for rage, his generosity of spirit as naivete. Â Repeat. Â Repeat. Repeat.
- Â Set traps for him in public. Â Aggressive or rude behavior designed to provoke him. Â When he defends himself, blame him for over reacting and over sensitivity and defensiveness.
- Â Magnify any flaws, misquote him, quote him out of context, use words that associate him with unpleasant things. Say rude and crude things, and then deny and say…I was just joking. Â (Works really well, you will be surprised)
- Â If he ever makes an error, or a misstatement, intensify your rhetoric about the mistake, use words that inspire distrust. Â (Irresponsible, laughable, radical, angry, militant, crazy, etc.) Repeat. Â Repeat. Repeat.
- Â Important: Â Buy a black man or woman to say some of these things for you. Â Then you can just comment and shake your head with disbelief or agreement, or sorrow and dismay.
- Â Isolate him from public support. Â If others fear to support him, they will abandon him publicly when he is most vulnerable. Â They will be afraid that they will receive the same public shaming if they support him.
- Â De-humanize any one who publicly supports him.
- Â Punish and shame, satirize and lie about those who support him. Â However, do so subtly. Â Outright lies should have deniability. Â Of course, you can always “sincerely” apologize.
- Â Keep him from speaking direct to the public as much as possible. Â Then tell people what he said, or don’t report it accurately. Â Never give him a fair forum. Â Never. Â Pitilessness is our most important tool.
- Â Disarm opponents by occasionally saying something nice about him. Â Only do this when you are working against him on another level.
- Â If there is a penalty for a mistake he made, make sure he pays 25 times the price that any other non-targeted man would pay. Â After all, he is an object lesson. Â Never get too uppity. Â We will do our best to destroy you if you do. Â Humiliate him. Remember, black men have no rights that a white man must respect.
- Â Harass him and his image incessantly, until the physical reaction that people have upon hearing his name is one of anxiety and ambivalence, rather than pride or interest. Â Dread (shame and anxiety) is the emotion we want to evoke. Â We want people to feel dread when they hear his name in the media. (see Bill Clinton)
- Â Report his fatigue, his indecision, his gloom, his anxiety, his lack of remorse, his despair…..even when there is none evident.
-  Ignore  and minimize anything that he manages to accomplish despite this campaign.  Act as if it does not exist.
- Â Ridicule his efforts to fight back….begin the steps over and over again, until he is rendered impotent by election loss, jail, resignation, addiction, political or popular disdain, or violent demise. Â Then examine his “remains”, never letting people forget the words of your campaign against him, even in death.
Answer this simple question – honestly: Supposing it didn’t cost anyone anything, do you believe that it is the right of every person to have access to health care? Who has the right to live, and who gets to die?
Unless your answer is yes, everyone gets equal opportunity to live a healthy life, you should probably go away now and spend your time on something else.
I believe we are trying to provide health care in this country in the wrong manner. Maybe I’m a little late to the party with this discussion. I doubt that real, substantive changes will occur in the near months with what’s currently on the table, so since everyone’s talking about this, I’m bringing this up. Since reform is by no means assured this session, I think it’s still useful to raise alternative models. Why should we accept any reform if we don’t realize a net gain in services and opportunities?   Story is here
They really do have no plan other than talking a change game but not following through. Story is here
Obama’s mother was born in Kansas. Story is here
To be a President the qualifications are quite clear-
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
At birth Obama was a US citizen. He was a “natural born citizen” as his mother was a US citizen.  A person who would be naturalized to become a citizen would not be a “natural born citizen.” Obama did not need to do this as his mother handed Obama US citizenship at his birth.
It is really quite clear this whole “issue” is proof that those opposing Obama really have nothing else. Story is here

Ahhh the right wingers are so PRO USA they are wanting to destroy it via cession or by simply destroying the country. Apparently the Constitution loving right wingers do not love the Constitution or the nation that much as they want to destroy both. They seem to cling to their little Constitution books however they want to change it entirely and not follow its mandate. The nuttiness really grows exponentially in their demands where they want to name the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, to be in charge of the nation after ousting Obama and apparently Biden too in a peaceful handover over a nice turkey dinner apparently. Hey right-wing Super Geniuses…don’t forget…you hate her! Moving her from basically our Foreign Minister position to President makes her MORE powerful…over YOUUUUU!  And in November 2008 we just had a peaceful handover of power from W to Obama so didn’t we just do that? Just trying to help…   Story is hereÂ
So I wrote an email to Rick Perlstein of Newsweek who wrote of feeling the wrath of O’Reilly’s audience once night after Billo featured an article by him on his show. The article writing about this response is located here.
My email I sent to him is as follows…
I enjoyed your article about O’Reilly and the response he generated. I am of the same political leaning of you with
my Twitter account of twitter.com/joewo
my personal blog located here  www.joewo.com/WordPress
and youtube account youtube.com/boredjoewo
So I am on your side thoroughly.
Your article was good but the aim was off.
Prior to the internet people like O’Reilly were able to say things and get away with it. They could bend the truth and tell outright lies and offer innuendo which would go unchallenged. Someone like us would hear him say X and we would tell someone else what he said…and that X was so awful or wrong that the person we were telling would look at us as if we were not telling the truth. So O’Reilly and his kind would get away with it. The internet has changed this with youtube catching them on video for a full playback in context…sites like MediaMatters.org and NewsHounds.com and others archive this type of comment and of course TV with Olbermann and Rachel Maddow highlighting the lowlights of FOX News and others. This really is a time in which the O’Reillys of the world can get their message out easily yet those showing O’Reilly’s shortcomings can also get their message out.
My question is why on Earth would people watch FOX News. They are consistently head and shoulders above the other news channels as their ratings show
What on Earth motivates these people to watch those shows which are factually incorrect and provide innuendo bending opinions not through direct unfactual statements but rather the low level slams against things that actually benefit the viewers who are of low to moderate level income?
On the 4th of July I was walking my dog and came across a Teaparty event in my city’s park. These are the people who watch FOX News. I talked to them for an hour. A few things they believe
-Global Climate Change is a fallacy of the left wing who is looking to make money off the hoax. They truly believe CO2 is not the problem but rather the water vapor is the problem with the atmosphere.
-They truly believe Obama is a Socialist…no a Marxist…no a Nazi…no he is Kenyan…regardless he sits home thinking of how to ruin America specifically.
-Several truly wanted to kill me as I highlighted their incorrect thought process and incorrect facts as they saw me sitting home thinking of how to destroy America. They took it personally when I pointed out that a Fascist Hitler was a right-winger.
So the question your article should have addressed was…how can these people be reached? They lambaste Democrats looking to give Health Care for all as they lose their Health Insurance themselves. They skewer pro-Union Democrats as their salaries and benefits drop. They complain about illegal immigrants as their ancestors arrived here on a boat unannounced. Welfare Queens are the worst thing ever as Masters of the Universe finance Directors nearly killed the world’s economic system this past year due to lack of regulations which were put in place after The Great Depression…because they saw back then that we would have another Great Depression if those regulations were not inacted.
Do these people not see things that are placed in front of their face?
Do these people understand that they are voting against their own best interests?
Do these people not see the world has been where we are only treading now and the world has decided to move on from where we are as they laugh at our throwback policies and views of society? America is a dinosaur in many thoughts of societal managing and interactions on a group as well as interpersonal level.
You have a national soapbox. You are international in scope of distribution. You have a way to reach out to these people and find out what makes them tick. Why do they think what they think? What is the common thread in their thought patterns?
I believe the common thread is the lack of the Cumbaya Concept. Those people laugh at lefties when the idea of coming together is brought up…be it for prisoners and offering them mental health counseling…in international relations when dealing more of a team player as opposed to a dictator in what happens in the world…in personal relations in that it seems the phrase “Why do I have to pay for that for you” was a common thread with the teaparty people that I spoke with. These all lack the Cumbaya Concept and they truly hold up the “I am an island” concept. We live in a society…literally no man is an island as psychologically people will have major issues of society were to disappear and as far as amenities of life without others to help the individual would be relegated to harvesting food constantly to survive.
So this political movement truly became a massive snowball with Reagan and was cloaked with “religious” leaders who later promoted an un-just war and are pro-Death Penalty. They are contradictions at every level.
Where did this come from?
Why do they think this?
Why are they working contrary to their own best interests?
Why do they see the things they see and block the things they block?
O’Reilly and all of FOX News are a mouthpiece for their movement. They have a very big audience consistently.
Have a good day
But he is too busy to tell you about it. Video is here

Factually the cartoon is incorrect in that the deficit George W. Bush gave us went from 60% of GDP to about 80% of our national GDP. Ironic that the previously fiscally conservative Republicans turned fiscally WILDLY Liberal in the Reagan era in that post World War 2 the payment of the national debt from World War 2 had been going down steadily in every administration since World War 2. Reagan brought our national debt from about 30% to about 65% of GDP and this was while our GDP increased those years so the spending went up tremendously. There are a countless number of directions to go with this topic however the fact is that the national debt Obama has given us has been a direct response to the political direction the nation was sent by George W. Bush and originally by Ronald Reagan as he abandoned all concepts of fiscal conservatism Republicans were defined by in previous administrations. So the cartoon truly makes no sense…and it actually places our 2 cartoon people in opposite frames if the cartoon were to be truthful. The basis of comedy is having a grain of truth which this cartoon lacks. So again…this cartoon lacks…sense and logic.
And the result is funny! Story is here
In order to make Obama look bad Republicans are willing to put the nation’s health at risk. The nation’s health = the health of individuals. Republicans have yet to put forward anything that would benefit individuals. 18,000 Americans die every year due to a lack of Health Insurance…see previous posts about attribution there. That 18,000 prorated out over a full year = 50 people per day dying due to a lack of health insurance. The number lacking preventative care that would help people live longer and that 50 has to go up due to preventative care just logically helping people. Therefore the Republicans blocking Health Care Reform results in 50 people dying a day.
And the Republican plan to reduce that…is….Beuller….Beuller…Beuller? Nothing.
They are showing their true colors in that they are basically the people who ran you over with their car…now when you are lying there dying they are the ambulance chaser that wants to sue the driver of the car that hit you. These people are truly bottom feeders taking advantage of people who are not paying attention nor are given anyone that has a true fiduciary responsibility towards the financial customer. This just goes to prove again that in many professions there is a fiduciary responsibility towards the financial customer where that customer can sue the agent doing the transaction….real estate people…lawyers…doctors. However in the Financial world there is no true fiduciary responsibility for the customer. That is ringing true here again. Story is here
Isn’t the overthrow of the US Government about as anti-Democracy and anti-American as someone can get? I guess these people see it in a different light. So the big question is…where is FOX News going to stand on this? Say it FOX…prove you are anti-American and want to overthrow the elected government!!! Say it!!! Either you are with us or with the terrorists so where does FOX News stand? Story is here

Those that complain about talking with Iran forget Cheney’s company did business deals with Iran regarding nuclear technology. So I guess I missed their massive protest over Cheney’s company dealing with and looking to deal more with such scurrilous fiends. Story is here

I didn’t understand what the woman said about needing parents to be American citizens. If you are born in the USA…you are a citizen of the USA. There is no issue to discuss…born in Hawaii with birth announcements and paperwork that he was born in Hawaii. To ask questions is to be driven by another reason which is truly the case here. Story is here

So the settlers came to America. The land was not theirs so they took land. They made treaties but followed none of them. They imported black slaves to do the labor on farms. Asian slaves built the railroads in the West. They had children work in factories for long hours every day and the majority of the day. These days the illegals from Mexico and manual are our slaves working for barely above minimum wage without health care and other amenities the rest of us take for granted…but many still don’t have. Really things have changed very little with a working class that is barely getting by or not getting by.
HOWEVER…this nation was built by someone else according to Pat Buchanan. Video is here

According to the most recent data (for 2007), the best-off 1 percent of American households take home about 20 percent of total income — the highest percentage since 1928. Yes, I know: Critics will charge that these are the very people who invest, innovate, and hire, and thereby keep the economy going. So raising their taxes will burden the economy and thereby hurt everyone, including those who are supposed to be helped.
But there’s no reason to suppose that taking a tiny sliver of the incomes of the top 1 percent will reduce all that much of their ardor to invest, innovate, and hire in the future. Yet if this tiny sliver means affordable health care for a far larger number of Americans, who will be able to get regular checkups and thereby stay healthy and productive, the positive effect on the American economy is likely to be far greater.
Don’t believe critics who say the surtax will harm small business. According to the Center for Tax Justice, it would hit only five percent of small business owners — realistically defined as taxpayers for whom small business income makes up at least half of their adjusted gross income (from schedule C businesses, partnerships, family farms, and Subchapter S corporations).
Besides, only the profits of a small business would be taxed. The owner of a small business deducts money paid to employees as compensation, as well as operating costs. So, for example, a couple whose income comes entirely from a small business would have to earn more than $350,000 in business profits — after paying all their expenses, including salaries — before the surcharge would affect them at all. And if they earned more, the surcharge wouldn’t reduce their incentive to hire more employees because they pay employees with pre-tax income. And not even purchases of equipment to expand business operations would be affected because most small business owners can write off up to $250,000 of the costs of such equipment immediately.

Palin being seen as Presidential material has her numbers dropping quickly. Story is here

SARAH PALIN and Al Sharpton don’t ordinarily have much in common, but they achieved a rare harmonic convergence at Michael Jackson’s memorial service. When Sharpton told the singer’s children it was their daddy’s adversaries, not their daddy, who were “strange,†he was channeling the pugnacious argument the Alaska governor had made the week before. There was nothing strange about her decision to quit in midterm, Palin told America. What’s strange — or “insane,†in her lingo — are the critics who dare question her erratic behavior on the national stage.
Sharpton’s bashing of Jackson’s naysayers received the biggest ovation of the entire show. Palin’s combative resignation soliloquy, though much mocked by prognosticators of all political persuasions, has an equally vociferous and more powerful constituency. In the aftermath of her decision to drop out and cash in, Palin’s standing in the G.O.P. actually rose in the USA Today/Gallup poll. No less than 71 percent of Republicans said they would vote for her for president. That overwhelming majority isn’t just the “base†of the Republican Party that liberals and conservatives alike tend to ghettoize as a rump backwater minority. It is the party, or pretty much what remains of it in the Barack Obama era.
