Have you heard from any news source that Joe Lieberman’s wife was a part of the health insurance industry?  Being that she made money from that industry what do you think is her stance on health care reform which would hurt that industry?  When Lieberman announced he would oppose health care reform their stock value literally went up as a direct reason for his powerful voice against health care reform.  Here is a video showing why Lieberman opposes health care reform.  He literally rolls over and looks at the pillow beside him and sees the reason he opposes health care form.  And as a secondary note FOX News AGAIN fails to mention the huge elephant in the room during their “straight news” segment that Lieberman’s wife worked for the health insurance industry.  Video is located here

Alan Greenspan says “Trickle Down” Reaganomics failed

The bottom line for this video is that Alan Greenspan says…and the former Comptroller of the US Alan Walker agrees…that smaller tax increases early result in FAR FAR less debt down the road thanks to the mathematical miracle of compounding.  Or as we are living FAR FAR higher debt again due to compounding.

Imagine if we had no Reagan tax cuts.  Imagine if we had no Bush tax cuts. Imagine if the few percent that Clinton raised taxes would have continued.  The result would be the dropping of the debt as we see it today.  Reagan and Bush’s tax cuts hurt us in the long run.  Their argument at the time was that the tax cuts were given to people who make the jobs.  Well as we see now this is just not the case.  So when Alan Greenspan says that taxes need to be part of the solution then he is saying that the tax decreases he so vigorously fought for was the wrong path to take because we had a problem then as well.  If we would have had the mathematics of compounding working for us with a little higher taxes especially for the rich as opposed to dropping their level so precipitously…and never had the nightmare of Reaganomics overall… we would be economically so much better now.

So….thanks for NOTHING Reagan and Bush.  No…thanks for LESS THAN NOTHING and that is massive debt.  The old line is…you can pay us now or you can pay us later.  We are paying later…and proving that the economic times of Reagan and Bush were artificially improved by the things we will pay for now.  Video is located here

The current plan before Congress would have the US Government subsidize the buying of insurance by people who cannot afford it.  The government dollars would direct those people to private corporations providing insurance plans.  So therefore the government will subsidize the additional revenue those corporations will see.  The Teabagger group has been stopping the advancement of a public insurance plan that would have operated at cost without the overhead we know is much higher with private insurance corporations.  Therefore the Teabaggers are happy to see those insurance companies prosper as a result of a massive governmental cash infusion in  an ongoing basis.  This is going to be a perpetual thing so this will be many hundreds of billions of dollars annually in Socialistic outlay handed to those corporations.

When you see a comment by a Teabagger or a Free Market person…FIRST ask them what they think about Socialism.  Next…ask them how the plan to have people’s subsidized insurance purchased from private corporations paid for by govenrnmental dollars is NOT Socialism benefitting the insurance corporation and its investors.  Teabaggers and Free Marketers sure do love themselves Socialism and this plan is nothing more than another redistribution of income to benefit those investing in insurance companies!!!

When redistribution of wealth benefits the “welfare queen” the Free Marketers and Teabaggers say that is bad.

Interesting they don’t mention that the primary way “we” gained land and wealth in America was by killing off Indians and infecting them with Smallpox.  Then the Indians were moved onto Reservations where the treaties with them were all broken.  So Teabaggers really DO embrace Social Evolution wholeheartedly…however…when people from South America move in to do jobs they don’t want to do they have a problem with that.  When they get undercut for jobs by non-union Mexicans, they have a problem with that.  Kind of funny because when the right wingers say they are losing their land to others and “want their country back” they forget that others lost their land to them.  It is called Social Evolution.  Things change.  Those that do not embrace change get mowed over.  THEY used to own this land….now WE own it…later someone else will own it.  That is how it goes.  No hate…no discrimination…no Teaparty Revolution can change that.  So the Teabaggers who deny Evolution wholeheartedly, sure do embrace Evolution when they are bombing or killing to achieve their goals because war is a sped up process of forced Evolution in one direction or another.  Then, when Evolution’s tide turns against them, they cry like babies.  Yes Virginia, there is Evolution and Teabaggers sure do love it when it works for them.

Phil Gramm…the major economic consultant to McCain’s Presidential team said the recession was unreal.  This is where those people are coming from and they still do today at the end of 2009.  That truly was how he saw things.  Who voted for McCain?  Who are THOSE people who didn’t see what was going on?  Video is here

What took them so long?  Andrew Sullivan says he is now splitting with the right wingers.  The author of LittleGreenFootballs says he too is splitting from the right wing.  They are not leaving the concepts of Conservatism but rather Conservatism has become more Theology than political ideology.  The mixing of God and politics is antithetical to the concepts the US was founded upon.   There will be more very public defections from Conservatism if the trend of that political movement and view continues as it has.  Story is here

There are 239 counties in the United States where at least a quarter of the population receives food stamps, according to an analysis of local data collected by The New York Times.

The counties are as big as the Bronx and Philadelphia and as small as Owsley County in Kentucky, a patch of Appalachian distress where half of the 4,600 residents receive food stamps.

In more than 750 counties, the program helps feed one in three blacks. In more than 800 counties, it helps feed one in three children. In the Mississippi River cities of St. Louis, Memphis and New Orleans, half of the children or more receive food stamps.
