Response to an article about the 2016 election

Talk about an article pulling stuff from all over the place!!!!  WOW!!!

So what is this author saying?  I think possibly the lone coherent paragraph in this long article is the one in which the author states we have NO IDEA what Trump is….nor do we have any idea what he would do.  THOSE are the facts about Trump.  Trump has abused foreign workers….he had abused his worker as we saw in his Las Vegas Casino paying them less than other casino workers….he has not shown us his tax returns which will show he uses the tax laws against us….and the list goes on and on and on.  He is not a good businessman as he lost money in his CASINO venture which is genrally a license to print money.  He has been wildly disrespectful of women and anyone “less” than himself.  He has been a typical bad American…loudmouthed self centered offensive and abusive in his personal and public life.  Another fact that this author did not include is that Trump’s closest advisors admit that he only ran as a protest candidate and the bar was set at about 10% of Republican support.  They never ever ever in their wildest dreams saw him winning the Republican nomination.  Even Trump himself was shocked as this happened.  And people WANT him to be a leader?   Here is a good overview of this

I think as we venture into the General Election we will see Trump do precisely what Romney did during the debates.  Remember the first debate when Romney flat out gave baldfaced lies as to what his positions were?  Here is an overview of that night and I truly believe that this lying will be the standard for Republicans going forward.  Actually Trump has gone one further….he lied about being wildly religious (he fed the rubes that line with meetings with religious leaders) and the RUBES ate it up.  He then fed racism with the whole US AND THEM creation from being anti-Muslim and calling Mexicans rapists.  Really those things are what a lot of his supporters heard and then their vote was won.  NOW……Trump can say ANYTHING he wants because those people are won over already.  NOW…Trump can lie like a rug….like Romney did….knowing he has the support of the real racists and religious bigots which was won very early on.  Here is an article about Romney lying…AND ROMNEY WON GREAT SUPPORT FROM IT!!!!!!

As far as the success of Trump and Sanders as this guy writes in the last paragraph.  It is FASCENATING beyond BELIEF that the Sanders supporters win most Caucus elections yet lose most traditional voting primaries.  When I see people having to go to a multi-hour Caucus as many of those states were hit with bad weather or simply taking up hours at night…it really makes me not support Caucuses.  I see traditional elections as far more equalizing as everyone gets a vote and everyone SHOULD be allowed to VOTE BY MAIL.  So Caucuses are odd….and then the people that show up for Bernie are the ones who don’t vote.  Young people have a HORRENDOUS history of low voter turnout.  Thankfully we don’t have to rely on them to elect Democrats because if we did we would lose every election every time because young people don’t turn out to vote.  And many of the people showing up at his events are not even registered….and those that are are often times registered Independent or something else.  I really like the ideas that Bernie has but….because of his base….and because of the tactics of his past being so hyper focused on Vermont that the nation didn’t know he existed prior to a year ago…..that he has shot himself in the foot several ways.  Could he have gotten more support if he had begun 2-3 years prior?  I think so.  However the message of Trump…which has no foundation and changes day to day….has completely drown everything else out including Bernie’s message.

Another Bernie shortfall from his supporters is money.  I hate hate hate that money is in politics but the fact is that about $2Billion will be raised for this next President to win……and Bernie’s support base doesn’t have the cash.  Sad to say but it is true.  If they cant line up being registered and they cannot line up actually voting…sadly how can we rely on them to give money that they do not traditionally do not have?

And the last line discounts the changes Obama created during his 2 terms.  This is a ridiculous assertion to make considering the banks are re-regulated….we have a health insurance plan insuring tens of millions more Americans and so many more things as a direct result of Obama being President.  NONE of it would have happened under a Republican administration.

As far as Hillary this election cycle…people forget she was the 7th most liberal voter when she was in the Senate.  She was very good and I believe she has gone further to the left which is great.  She does have some baggage but nothing that will drown her out beyond the baggage of Trump which is more.  Hillary’s race is supposedly going to take the high road and Trump of course will take the low road as we see his attack line being that of Monica Lewinsky.  Even his attacks are not smart.

Donald Trump has done one thing…shown the baselessness and rabid racism and bigotry of the Republican Party.  Trump has discounted any notion of Jesus in the Evangelical voting group.  Trump has shown there is a vast number of people who are simply beyond embarrassment when dealing with serious issues.  These are the only good things that will come as a result of Trump doing what he is doing….which is NOT running for President.

Is the system rigged? Yes. The way to fix it? Get MONEY out of politics because if we get the current PEOPLE out of politics then the NOVICES will be beholden even more to those holding the dollars.  When the bribes are removed from politics the nation will swing way to the left and help more people.  Which is why Republicans fear this.  Which is why voting for a Republican for President makes no sense.  Trump says the people are overpaid…and people want to vote for him?
