It is ironic that the repeal of the Estate Tax affecting 5 in 1000 people was passed easily while the Minimum Wage raising by $2.00 affecting 7.3 million people was fought so hard by Republicans. As posted before in my blog…the numbers show the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. By the way the Estate Tax affected 59 African Americans…out of our national population of 38 million African Americans.

And people voted for Bush for “valuesâ€. Apparently not prying $2 out of millionaire’s hand is a value as is not having 50 million people insured. The Estate tax came about because of the ridiculous disparity in incomes back in 1916. So how does giving $500 billion to these super rich people help that issue which truly exists today? And the Christian right says nothing about the disparity of incomes in today’s society and they actually support those who oppose helping the poor. Very nice!
